Recently, I had received a hoax email saying that I am selected to own multi-millions wealth from someone who has deceased. It requested to click on the link and it will redirect me to a website to insert my particulars. This including my login credential in one of the local bank. Another scenario I faced earlier is SMS notification. In the SMS, it requested me to send them my personal particulars and bank account. Of course, in both of the cases, I didn't do as what they told cause I never believe such thing cause I know this will bring harms than good.

Here I would like bring up this topic which is identity theft protection. There are 4 things that you need to know about Identity Theft.

1. Identity theft is always a stepping stone to identity fraud.

2. Identity theft can victimize anyone.

3. Most identity theft crimes are committed by someone the victim knows or may knows.

4. Early detection of identity theft is better.

School Reopen

Today is the school reopen for Kendra and she was so excited that she can go back to school again after one month break. Hubby is off today and we send her to school together with her brother. The little boy is excited too as I can see that he is happily put on his bag when we told him to go to school.........!!!!!!!

When we reached school this morning, Kendra was very behaved and she was being told by one of the teacher that her new classroom is located upstairs and she is with Ms Carol's class. She keep telling me over the past few weeks that she is going to be a "big girl" and "big girl" must study at upstairs.... Her wish to be a big girl is granted....!!!!!!
Her schooling time is the same as last year. When we fetched her and guess what she told me? She ask me where is her text book....... Due to my laziness, I didn't go to the office and purchase her books and thought to settle it once by today. I never expect the teacher will start using the text book on the first day of school. She told me she is the only one that without text book in her group this morning. I feel so guilty for her........... Actually I did went to the office to purchase it but being told that they are running out of stock for the text books and the soonest I can get it is by end of this week. How I'm gonna tell her this.......gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know how to describe my feeling over the past 3 days. It's terribly sad and heart pain deep in my heart. I never feel so down after the birth of my boy as I had a hard time during my labor and it's the darkest time in my life. But, after I know about his case, I can't help and keep thinking why it's so unfair to the little boy who had just live for 7 months on his life..... I'm really blessed that my boy is given a second chance to live.

I think most of you are aware about Bernard Wee....... ya, a poor boy who had a heart disease and passed away before he got a chance to go for the operation. My heart is so pain every time I clicked on his mommy's blog and FB and saw the messages she left for him. As a mommy of 2 kids, I really can feel how sad will it be of a mommy who lost her child.

When I decided to left my lappy for all the sad news, my friend show me another blog of a little angel who passed away on this Feb due to cancer. My tears are out of my control when I'm reading her blog. Why they need to suffer so much in their life????? They are just a innocent baby, aren't they deserve a chance to live since YOU decided to bring them to this world...... Why YOU want to take them back from their parents?

May these 2 angels will meet in heaven one day.........!!!!!!!

My New Toys

Yay..another new toy of the month of September........ oops, now only I realize I haven't share with you all about my first new toy which hubby bought it few weeks ago. Never mind, I will reveal it in this post too!!!!

First of all, hubby had bought this Nintendo Wii for us..... You must be wondering who is the "us" refer to....yes, it's for me and my girl- Kendra!!!! The main reason he got it for me is with the hope that I can have some workout at home. He got me the Balance board and it looks great to me. Hope it really can help me to shed off some weight.

My 2nd new toy is the sewing machine which I wanted for ages. Finally hubby approved my request and got it for me. A big thanks to him for his support even he know that I know nothing about sewing....... what a joke, right?????

While I'm chatting with my friend Angel on MSN yesterday, she told me that her husband's car was break down middle on the road when he is on his way home. I suggested them to send the car to Dallas Auto Repair for a thorough inspection.

After seeing their case, I think I should send my car to the workshop for some brake job too since I've been travel so frequent in the past few months. We should make sure that our car is always in tip top condition when on the road to avoid unnecessary things to happen.

Hubby thought of selling his existing car and get a new one. I help him to do some surveys and found out that this Chevrolet Silverado has a good reviews by others. I have all the reviews print out and will show him tonight.

2 scenarios below were best described the word FAMILY of my 4 years old girl.

Scenario no. 1
On last Saturday afternoon, while I'm busy washing some dishes in the kitchen and hubby walked in and told me that he need to go back to office to settle some issues. Kendra heard it and she raise up this good question to her daddy. " Do you know today is Saturday? It's weekend which is our family day....why you need to go to work". She asked with full of disappointment.

Scenario no.2
When hubby was ready to go out for a date with his friend, Kendra again not allowed him to go. She cried and begged her dad not to go and not to leave us in the house.

"Don't go out, left 3 of us in the house so "yam gong"(pity).............

When hubby was out and I asked her, why she don't let her daddy go out. Guess how she answer me?????

Kendra: In a family, must have daddy and mommy. Now daddy go out, we don't have a family already.......:((((((((( I want a family...............................

It's always too much time in Facebook and too less time for my chores. Only 3 days left for our Singapore trip but I still yet to pack. why why why....I keep asking myself why I still don't want to start to pack it even I have the time to do so..... See, I'm still sitting in front of my lappy now rather than go and pack.....hahahah!!!! This is the real ME, always wait till last minutes!!!!!!

Maybe I still can't feel the mood yet..... my poor boy still not yet recover from his flu + cough!!!! I know it will be a "hard" trip with a sick kid. Hope he can recover before our departure. Better start to draft my list and pack later.....bye!!!!

The pouch that comes along with the set is so special and this is the main reason I got it from so far away!!!! Time flies and he turn 1 today. No big birthday party for him as usual as I'm a lazy mom and hate all the cleaning job after party (don't laugh so loud ya...:))))) Will have a simple dinner with my family tonight.

I had been recalling what had happen last year this day from morning till now. It's a HARD day for me last year at this time. I know I know.... I should not think too much since me and Randal are well now, but my mind just non stop flashing back what had happen that day....sob sob!!!

Okay Okay, let's talk about Randal progress.

**He is able to walk very well now. whenever we are outside or in the mall, he likes to walk by his own.

**He is able to recognize some of us in the family...... daddy, mommy, jie jie (Kendra), gong gong (grandpa), por por (grandma) and yi yi (aunties)

**like to mumble a lot but we don't understand his baby language.

**he likes to get on his sister's bicycle now. Everytime when we are in my parent's house, sure he will looks for it!!!

**He is 9.5kg and taking semi solid now. Still on Isomil and 3 feedings per day @ 210ml each feed.

**taken all the compulsory and optional jab to date.

**can't think of anything to write already...... will post more after the dinner tonight!!!!!

Before I drop Randal to his nanny house this morning, we went to my parent's house which is just next door of his nanny's house. My parents were so happy to see him and so does him. The first things he saw my dad is ask for carry.... He will open his arms wide and ask them to carry. And my dad will carry him without saying NO and straight away bring him to the dining hall. My dad brought out a big can of raisins and let him to taste some. After that, they came back to the living hall.

My dad left the can of raisin on the staircase. Randal spotted it and he keep nod his head while pointing it to my dad..... My dad keep asking him whether he still want that raisin is it? And he keep nodding his head....he is so funny till I must blog it down.....hahahahha!!!!

Yay, today marked 11 months of my beloved boy and there is only one more month he is being called "baby" and soon, he will be a TODDLER!!!!!!!! I think we will not have the birthday party for him but planning a Singapore trip for him.

Most of the peoples around me told me that he is able to walk before he turn 1 and that's true enough. He is able to walk at least 5 steps without any help and always like to stand up by his own. He looks cute when he walk.

He likes to play with his sister very much and used to fight with his sis some times. When his sis refuse to give the toys to him, he will start beating his sis and keep saying "da da" (beat in mandarin). But I'm happy that his sister will never fight back and always share her toys with him.

He was down with fever for the past few days and now suffer from flu and cough. This is the 2nd time he got fever since born. Hope he will recover soon...........

My Rojak March 2010

This is a backdated post. Yeah, March oh March.... the busiest month for me but still have to update my fellow blog follwers to let you all know what happening on my March 2010.

Randal was being send to a new nanny due to his previous nanny will be going to Australia to look after her granddaughter. He cried badly for the first day with new nanny and slowly accept the fact that he will be with these nanny for the coming year. This new nanny just stay next door to my parent's house and most of the time, my dad and sis will go and kacau him too........ maybe because of this, he feels more secure and happy to stay there.

My younger sister got married on 13th March which is also my brother's birthday too. I was busy helping my mom for the preparation for her wedding as my elder sister was away to Sarawak for hiking. More photos of her wedding can be view in my facebook......

On 20th March, it's Kendra's school annual sports day. She had been practiced had last few weeks and she got a silver metal for her house in her age group.

We had a small celebration for Kendra's 4 years old birthday before she fly off to Australia. It's just a simple dinner with my family members.

After the sports day, I was busy packing for our Australia trip. Our main purpose for this trip is to get our visa validated as part of the fulfillment for the visa granted. Now, we are officially an Australian PR. We visited Gold Coast and love the weather there. Hope can settle down in Brisbane. Hubby might be going there end of this year to hunt for job and hope that we can join him by next year as Kendra will finish her school term by that time. Hubby celebrated his 31st birthday yesterday and we had a simply birthday lunch at Spaghetti Sweet Tea Cafe (SSTC) right after fetching Kendra from school. We are welcome by the boss when we stepped in. The ambience of the restaurant is great and we were the only customer by that time.......

The boss is so friendly and strongly recommend us his "chef recommended" dishes. So, we just order what he suggest and here are what we had yesterday........

Randal's Teething Chart - 1 & misc

As promised, I will update my blog more often and I've to force myself to write at least a post before I login to Facebook....LOL!!!!

Yes, Randal got his lower central incisor erupted last month while we were in Australia. Not much of cranky or uncomfortable for him. Like to bite on everything in hand..... key, remote control, pillow and etc. I remembered Kendra teething quite late too and I think Randal just as same as his sister.

Today when I sent him to nanny's house, his nanny took out an used handphone and passed it to him. Guess what..... he is able to take the phone and put it near to his ear!!!!!!!!! His nanny said he is a future boss, can answer call at so young.....hahahahaha!!!!!

Beside this, he is able to stand without support for a few seconds. Sometimes, he likes to push/stroll his jie jie's stool to walk around the house. I think he can walk very soon...... and my night mare will be start soon too!!!!!!!

Chinese New Year is around the corner and I'm busy cleaning up the house and decorate it at the same time. Lots of unused stuffs need to be get rid of to make space for some new furniture.

I've proposed to hubby to get an air-conditioner for the living hall for these coming New Year as the weather is so hot lately. Beside air-cond, I'm considering a 32 hd tv too. As my dad and sister just bought a new HD TV lately and the prices now are so competitive. I want a change over for my living hall. I believe the slim size of the TV sure contribute lots of space to my living hall.

I celebrated my birthday yesterday with my family. No cake bake by my hubby and daughter as what they did last year. My elder sis treat me Dim Sum at Foh San in the morning time (actually by the time we arrived, it's almost afternoon).

In the evening time, we all get prepare and go for our steamboat at MP. Before we head to MP, hubby drop by Stadium where the PC Fair is going on. He bought me the camera....FINALLY!!!!!! I think he is too annoyed hearing me complaint of my existing camera everyday...... it works, it works.....hahahahhaha!!!!! Got the good deal from PC fair which save him RM400 from the price we got from Fotokem.

This year birthday really meant a lot to me as I celebrated it with my hubby, daughter, son and of course my sis who is back for good. Looking forward to the Chinese New Year reunion in another month time.

Thanks my dear hubby who gave me a memorable birthday this year. And thanks him for doing all the house chores for me including ironing Kendra's uniform yesterday. A big claps to you....!!!!! wahahahah

5 Months 3 weeks

Today marked 5 months and 3 weeks old for my lovely boy. He suppose to have his vaccine 2 weeks ago but due to his paed was on long leaves, so he only had it yesterday night. The clinic was not as crowded as what I expect. We reached there around 7.30pm and Kendra was happily playing the slide in the clinic while waiting.

Randal was weighted 8.36kg yesterday and according to Dr. we can introduce solid to him if we intend to (actually I already started it last weekend...I fed him some puree from Heinz). He took his 3rd dose of Infarix Hexa and 2nd dose of Synflorix. He cried a little while when the jab is on him and stop right after his daddy carried him. He is not as tough as his sis which she never cried when jab.

At this stage, he likes to play with his tongue most of the time. Can see the picture in my post........... Beside that, he can crawl very well. When I put him on the mattress in my living hall every morning, he will came out of it within a minute and start his morning exercise there. He is learning to grab things too. Once he get hold the things he wants, he will put it into his mouth... really need to keep a close eyes on him from now onwards. Other than this, he started to get used of his walker too. He loves it so much especially the music played by his walker. He enjoy being put inside the walker.

Hope he will learn more skill for the coming days....... !!!!

Today is the last day of 2009 and also the last day for Kendra in Kid's Choice. She will be attending a proper school starting nest week. She has be with Kid's Choice almost 2 year. I still remember the first week I sent her to the center with lots of tears between me and her. I felt so guilty to let her in the center as that time she is only 23 months.

Time flies without notice, she is going to be 4 years old in few months later. I told her this morning that today is her last day in this center and she seems sad too. Luckily I managed to bring the camera to her nursery and seek help from her teacher to snap some pictures for her before she left.

For myself, this year gonna be a "bad" year for me. Some of you may already know how I had my hard time during labor for my son. I really hope that all the bad things I can left it behind and tomorrow onwards, it will be a good year with lots of joy waiting for me. For my fellow blog readers, I wish you all a happy and prosperous year 2010 too!!!!!

Peanut Butter Marble Cupcakes

Ingredients:

150g butter
90g Peanut Butter
240g caster sugar
4 eggs
240g self-raising flour
10g cocoa powder

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 175 Celsius. Place paper baking cases in muffin tray
2. Combine butter, peanut butter, caster sugar, eggs and flour in a mixer. Beat until smooth and pale, about 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Take out half of batter to add in cocoa powder, mix well forms cocoa batter.
4. Spoon batters alternately into the cases. Bale for 20 minutes or until cook.
5. Remove tray from oven and cool for 5 minutes. Then remove the cupcakes and cool on a rack.

*remarks: can bake about 12 pcs of cupcakes

4 Months Old

Randal turned 4 months on 16th and we brought him for his vaccination yesterday. His weight is 7.7kg and head circumference is 41.5cm. We didn't start him the pneumococcal vaccine when he is 2 months old as we planned to let him take it when he is 4 months old. He took his 2nd dose of Rotarix and 1st dose of Synflorix yesterday.

When taking the Rotarix oral vaccine, he is trying to throw it out from his mouth but the PD is experienced and patient enough to let him finished it. The Synflorix Randal took is cheaper than Prevenar. Both Rotarix and Synflorix only cost us RM354.

Randal like to listen while we are talking now. Sometimes, he will even add in his opinion by making the sound"buuuu", "kuuuu", "aar", "yiiii".............. and even scream out loud when he is over excited. I think he will be talkative as Kendra......"faint". Another new skill he learn....... pull mommy's hair. He like to pull my hair when I try to come near to him. And sometime I pity Kendra too..... she always go near to him and thought give her brother a kiss but ended up being pull by her brother......hahahaha!!!!!

Bring or Not To Bring

We will be attend my friend's wedding dinner at KL end of this month. Initially we plan to bring along Kendra and Randal with us. When I told Randal's babysitter that we will bring him along, she seems worry that Randal is still too young for travel. She suggested us not to bring him along and leave him to stay overnight at her place.

I'm dilemma now....... I thought of bring him along because I don't wish to separate with him even a single day and I'm sure I will miss him very very much. Secondly, I felt that myself are very bad if I just bring Kendra and not bring him with us. I remembered when Kendra is about his age, we did bring her to KL too.

On the other hand, it's good not to bring him along too. As what his nanny said, virus is everywhere now and he is still young. More over, we are going to attend a dinner and scare he cannot get used to those noisy/loud environment. If without him, I can have more time to catch up with my former schoolmates.

So how....?????? Bring or not to bring....??????????

Sammi Concert

I overhead from radio yesterday that my idol Sammi Cheng will be having her concert end of the year but they didn't mention where the concert will be held. When I got home, I quickly on my laptop and search for the concert info.

OMG, the concert will be held in Hong Kong and guess what.... all the tickets for the 10 shows were fully sold out. Initially there are only 6 shows (24th December 09 to 29th December 09) but due to the overwhelming response from the fans, the organizer decided to have additional 4 shows for her concert from 31st December 2009 to 3rd January 2010.

I'm happy to see her back to stage and can't wait for her World Tour Concert for Malaysia stop. Any updates about her concert is welcome.

Processing of Our Autralia PR

We had our Australia PR granted somewhere in September 2009 and some of my friends would like me to share with them how the process was. So, I will try my best to share it out with you how our application being processed. The process is base on the points system. You need to have at least 120 points in order for you to lodge your application under General Skill Migration (GSM) subclass 175. Beside this subclass, there are still few types of visa available.

He has to get his skills assess by the relevant organization/bodies. He work in IT field and of course he need to get Australian Computer Society (ACS) to recognized his skills.You may check out your skills recognition here. All relevant documents including a letter from your superior need to be submit to them. It took about 8 weeks for them to get back to you and no online submission for this. You have to send them the documents by mail and the result also will send back to you by mail. He paid AUD200 for this assessment.

While waiting for the ACS result, we registered for the IELTS test. We took the test on xx Dec and got our IELTS result 2 weeks after the test. For this IELTS test, the main applicants must score at least band 6 or you will get additional 5 points if you score band 7 for all 4 components. Hubby only scored band 6 for this test means he is short of points for him to lodge his application. He got 2 options which is either re-take the test until he score band 7 for all 4 components or get the State sponsorship which earned him 10 points. Moreover, if you lodged your application under GSM subclass 176 (State Sponsor or sponsor by a relative living in AUD), only 100 points is needed. So, hubby decided not to re-take the test as the test cost him RM530 per test. He tried to apply for the state sponsor from Queensland (QLD) due to we don't have relatives in AUD. The state sponsor is free of charge. You just need to make sure your skill is listed in their demand list. Each state will have a different list for this. Hubby got the letter from QLD xx weeks after he submitted all his documents.

Since he got the state sponsor from QLD, he has more than enough points to lodge his application. He lodged his application on 29th April with the fees of AUD2050. I think the fees had been adjusted to AUD2525 W.E.F 1^st July 2009. He didn’t appoint any agent for our application, all are done online and this had saved us about RM10k for the agent fees. He got the case officer allocated to him 3 weeks after the application was lodged. We are requested to undergo the Medical Examination (ME) and submit the good conduct letter. Due to I’m expecting at that time and can’t carry out the X-Ray. Right after I finished my confinement, we (include my 2 kids) did the ME and all reports were submitted by the panel doctor.

We got the grant letter around 4-5 weeks after the ME and stated in the letter that we must validate our visa by enter to AUD no later than 22^nd July 2010 and the visa expired 5 years from the date granted. Time to time, they are still some changes of the requirements for the application.

We have booked out tickets for our initial entry and I’m so looking forward to this trip. This will be the first overseas trip for Randal.

By 3 months old, he wean off his night feeding. Took his last feed around 11pm to 12am and the next feed will be 7am

By 3 months old, he like people to talk to him.

By 3 months old, he is able to sit with support of the bumbo seater.

By 3 months old, he is still having 5oz of milk (no increment from last month)

By 3 months old, he is being more talkative. Always like to mumble.......

By 3 months old, he like his thumb more than his pacifier.

By 3 months old, mommy love him more and more... especially when he smile at me early in the morning......my heart melted!!!!

Lucky or Unlucky

Today is the replacement holiday for hubby's company so he decided to go to the Australian High Commission to get all our passport stamp for our Australia PR. He took the 8.30am bus and suppose to reach there before 12pm.

I gave him a call around 11.30am and I was being told that the bus broke down and he need to take a cab to rush to the AUD High Comm before they close for lunch. 12.10pm, my phone rang again and hubby told me that he was not allow to enter the building because he reached there at 12.02pm and their office was close at 12pm. He pleased the receptionist (a malay lady) to let him go in since he is travel so far away from Ipoh. But the malay lady insisted not to let him go in. I can feel how frustrated and annoyed hubby was at that time. He purposely took bus to get there but was not allow to go in because he was late for the 2 minutes. Opps, I forgot to mention that their office was only open till 12pm only. He please the receptionist again and again and even show her his bus ticket but she still not to let him go in. So, he have to leave with no other option.

At 1.30pm he called me again and let me know that he was on his way to Pudu and will be back soon. So, I just take note about it and continue my Facebook game. Not long later, he called me again and told me that he called to the High Comm office and his phone call was answer by an Australian lady. He told the lady about his case and she was helpful enough to ask him to go back to their office and she will get it done for him.

While I'm writing this post, I'm waiting for his call too. Don't know how the receptionist feel when she see hubby can go in later and will hubby make a complaint to them about this......hahaha!!!!

Wrong timing

New Stroller for Randal

Got this Maclaren Quest Sport for Randal as the Combi was just uncomfortable to him due to his size. Many thanks to my ex-colleague who get me these super good deal. I like the color of the stroller.... it looks great to me.

Yes, he can roll over by his own even he is only 2 months and 3 days. At first, I don't believed my eyes as I thought it must be assist by his jie jie who sit beside him. But when I ask Kendra, did she trying to push or help him to roll, she answered me that she didn't touch him at all.

I keep my eyes on him and observed. Yeah, he did it all by his own.

Mom's Birthday

15th September was my mom's birthday and we supposed to have dim sum at the newly open "Restaurant Foh San" but it was close that day. So, we change our plan and dine at the dim sum restaurant just opposite Foh San.

Brought Randal for his scheduled vaccination last Saturday. Didn't let him took the Pneumococcal vaccine as the paed told us that there is another new brand of this vaccine will be available after 2 weeks time.According to him, the new brand will be cheaper compare to the existing brand. It's expect to be around RM200. So our plan is to let him have this vaccine when he is 4 months old.

Proudly introduce to you my Prince..... Randal Teo Jia Han (张家瀚). He was born on 16th July 2009 which was 3 days over my estimated due date. He was 3.61kg and 54cm when born. Although I had a hard time during this delivery, but I feel it's worth when he smile at me.

Due to the unexpected complication during delivery and the Urine Tract Infection which happen on the 3rd week of my confinement, my body was so weak and I get not enough of rest during my confinement. So, hubby and I decided to send Randal to babysitter start from next Monday so that I can have a good rest. Oh yes, almost forgot to update you all about my breastfeeding journey.... I've give up to BF Randal as he is such a big eater (4oz of milk per feeding) and due to my admission to the hospital (because of the urine infection), I'm forced to stop BF him for few days and the supply drops so much when I'm discharged. I'm so stress to undergo all this unhappy moment and I think this is the main reason why my milk supply is so low.... STRESS!!!!! Furthermore, my confinement lady gave me lots of problems too...... will share with you all when I'm free later.

Anyhow, what had happen is happen. I feel so thankful to have my family and hubby to by my side when this all happen. Without their support, I think I won't be recover so fast!!!! I know you all love me so much and so do I....... I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!

I'm fail to breast feed Kendra for at least 6 months when she is a baby and I'm so regret that I don't have a strong determination that time. All the discouragements from the confinement lady makes me give up so easily.

Went for my fortnightly checkup Wednesday and according to my gynae, every things is fine. This time, my boy is very co-operative and my gynae managed to get a good angle to print out the photo of him to us. From the photo, you can notice that he open his eyes so big to stare at us...... such a cute boy!!!!

So far, mommy only gained 7kg for this pregnancy.

Finally I got back this parcel which I think it was lost in mail. I received a PM from Stephanie on last Sunday asking whether I've received the parcel that she sent out last week. I was so surprise about the gift and on the other hand, I was worried too as she told me she posted it out last week via Pos Express and the status shown from the Pos Malaysia's website was " Delivered".

I decided to wait for the postman to come and ask him about the parcel on yesterday. Around 10.30am, I received a call from a stranger and being told that she was oversea and when she returned home yesterday, she got a parcel which was belongs to me and wrongly send to her house. She would like to pass it back to me. Hoo hoo hoo...... i got it back finally. Thanks so much for this kind lady.

Yes.... The Backyardigans, this is the latest cartoon show Kendra like to watch lately other than Shrek and Dora. Hubby got her the full version of session 1 and with the portable DVD player her grandpa bought her, she keep watching it on her leisure time. Among the 5 characters, she like Uniqua the most. As for myself, I like this cartoon series too. The wonderful animation and lovable characters make me can't resist to keep watching it just like a big toddler....LOL!!!

Early Birthday Celebration

Time flies and Kendra will be turning 3 years old next month. We had an early birthday celebration for her this year because her daddy is leaving to India by today and it's too short of time to prepare her birthday dinner when he is back later.

We planned to celebrate for her this Saturday and nothing much different from past years. No birthday party has threw for her even a small one, just a simple dinner with my parents and sister. Since we can't bring her for the Princess on Ice show, so we decided to have a "Fairy" theme on her birthday. Let her be a "Fairy" for a day.

She was so looking forward to her big day. After breakfast, we went home to dress her up with her princess dress and have some photos shooting. She really enjoy being a fairy and keep on playing with her magic wand.

At night, we had our dinner at the Chinese Restaurant that we used to dine in. During the dinner, the little fairy can't wait to cut her cake and rush us to finish our dinner in short time. She was so happy when we sang her the birthday song and cut the cake.

After dinner, we had a drink at the newly open cafe at Ipoh Garden....Josephnie! This was my first visit and I like the atmosphere there very much. The captain (maybe the owner) overheard our conversation and got to know that it's Kendra birthday. She presented us a cup of jelly (yes, jelly cake again) with a candle on it and guess what???? the jelly cupcake is on the house.... hahaha!!! Kendra told us that she was very happy yesterday.....!!!!

KL Day Trip

We supposed to bring Kendra for the Princess On Ice show next week but due to some unexpected circumstances, we have to cancel the show and change our plan to a day trip to KL. Kendra was not feeling well early in the morning. She can't finish her milk and vomited after she took her milk.

I advised her not to follow us since she was not feeling well but she insisted to go with us because she wish to collect her cake by herself. So, we got no other choice but to bring her along. She slept well once she got into the car and had some bread when she woke up. When we are almost reach the toll exit, again she vomited. I'm so worry about her condition.

We head to One Utama straight from the highway and it's almost lunch time when we were there. We had our lunch at Dragon-I and Kendra's seems ok when she reach the mall. She told me that she felt better and no more the vomiting feeling.... Great!!!! We started our window shopping then and headed to The Curve after that. She had a great time playing the slide there while mommy was shopping alone. I'm so happy that I finally found the Princess dress with Magic wand for this little girl. She was so excited when I showed her the dress. After a few hours of shopping (walking non stop), I felt so tired and asked hubby to drive me home. Before we were leaving, of course we need to collect the princess's cake and this is the main purpose we were visitng....hahahah!!!!

My Amnio Test Result

Hi all, this is an update on my result about the Amniocentesis test which I took 2 weeks ago. Hubby rang up the clinic this morning and the line was pass to the dr. by the nurse. According to him, every thing is fine and I can carry on my pregnancy.......hooray, what a relief to me and hubby!!!

Now, I can continue my shopping for the baby and not forget to get a confinement lady too!!!!Of course a big thanks to those mommies who concern and have me in their prayers too!!!!

No to Feeding Bottles

Bravo........ another big achievement from my princess before she turn 3 years old next month. She don't want to drink her milk from the milk bottles but in her cute Hello Kitty mug. At first, she only took 1.5-2 oz of milk per feed and I feel so tired to persuade her to finish her milk every time. At first, I thought she get bored with her current milk powder and thought of changing it after all my stock is clear later.

Before I move on to change her milk powder, I try to prepare her milk in the newly bought Hello Kitty mug and what surprised me was she finished the whole cup of milk within couples of minutes. After that she told me that only babies have their milk from bottles and she is a big girl now, so she must drinks from the cup.

I thought problems was solved since her milk intake is back to normal. But lately, she told me that she get bored with the cup and demand for a new My Melody or Keroppi mug........ So, mommies out there, if you came across any nice mug, please let me know ya!!!!!

Princess On Ice

This is the show Kendra wanted to watch it for long as I keep on telling her that we will bring her for the show as her 3 years old birthday present. Too bad, hubby need to travel on that day when the show is held and in other words, our plan is canceled due to this.

I found that it's hard for me to tell her this bad news as she is so looking forward to the show. When I'm cleaning her this morning before send her to nursery, I started the conversation with her. I told her that daddy need to go to work and we can't bring her for the show but we will still buy her a present and the Barbie Doll cake on her birthday.

Surprisingly, she looked at with a smile and told me that "OKAY, we don't go for the show"..... then hug me with a big kiss. I felt so warm at that moments and keep on smiling in my heart when I think about it. My girl make me feel so proud of her and I can't wait to call hubby and let him know that our girl has grown up so much.

Time flies and I think I've missed to update my last visit to my gynae's clinic which due last month. Anyhow, I went for my follow up appointment yesterday. And guess what....??? I bumped into Donna and one of my hubby's colleague in the same clinic, what a small world.

Baby weight: 239g
Heartbeat: 160 beats per minutes

I can feel his movement 2 weeks ago and it's so amazing. During the scan, he keep on moving and I think it's because he is so excited to see 3 of us.

Nothing special on the routine checkup as my gynae commented everything seems alright except for the triple test report. The report show that I'm high risk in the Trisomy 21 test and my risk is 1:138. In other words, among 138 women with the same data as mine, there is 1 woman will have the Trisomy 21 pregnancy (carry a down syndrome baby) whereby 137 women will not be affected ( hope I will be in this group)

My gynae suggested me to carry out the Amniocentesis test for a more accurate answer or just disregard the report and carry on my pregnancy. After discussied with hubby, he strongly agreed that I carry out the test as we can have a better plan after the result is out no matter it's a good one or a bad one. We don't want to play the guessing game for the rest of my pregnancy.

I'm schedule to do the test on next Monday and the result only will be available after 2 weeks as they need to send the specimen to Singapore lab for testing. I think the only thing I can do now is stay calm and relax. Hope everything will be fine and I can have a healthy baby.

Kendra used to have her nap at the living hall everyday. Her nap time normally is from 3pm to 7pm.

One day, while I'm busy preparing dinner at the kitchen and I thought Kendra was still having her nap at the living hall, our main gate was open and that's hubby who came back from work. Kendra was awake by that time and she peek from the sliding door and she knew that her daddy was back. She quickly ran to kitchen and told me this.........

Kendra: Oh Pei Mun (yes, she called my full name), your lou kong (hubby in cantonese) is back.

I was shocked when I hear what she said and ask her to repeat the sentence again. Yes, she told me my hubby was back from the office. Now only I realized other than daddy, she knew another role of her daddy in the family........... MY HUBBY!!!!!!!

After our dinner last night, I took out a bottle of Yakult for Kendra as a reward to her for finished up her dishes. While she was happily enjoying her Yakult, my mom took out the bowl of fruits for us. When she saw it, she quickly run to my mom and demand for the fruits while she still haven't finished her Yakult. I sound her and told her that she can't have the fruits as this will cause her stomachache if she took too much of cold food. Guess how she answer me...?????

"You try to see my lip, it's soooo RED........ means I'm heaty!!!!! I need to take some fruits or "leong sui" (some chinese drinks to cool down the body).........

We all were so surprise by her response and laugh non-stop after heraing it........ Now only I realized that my girl grow up a lots.....LOL!!!!!

Genting

We went to Genting last Saturday to meet up with Felix. This is the first time Kendra went to Genting and she was so excited about the trip. Every morning when she woke up, she used to ask me are we going to Genting on that day...hahaha!!!

We woke up as early as 7am on that day and after washed up for Kendra, we went to my parent's house to meet up with them and departed around 9.30am. It was raining all the way from Ipoh to Genting. We had our lunch at Goh Tong Jaya while Felix was taking the cable car to Genting for check in.

Kendra was so excited to see her Ah Fu (uncle) and so does her Ah Fu. After we had settle our luggage, we straight away brought Kendra to the amusement park. She keep on running here and there and we had to chasing her all the way. We walked to the First World indoor theme park as Kendra wanted to ride on the Reindeer cruiser. We were there till 5pm and then we walked back to the hotel for a rest and prepare ourself for dinner. My uncle and auntie who live in KL met us up for dinner.

Kendra started to show her tired face during dinner because she skip her nap and overjoy at the theme park. After dinner, we all head to the casino while hubby brought Kendra to the amusement park again as requested by Kendra. Half way playing, she told hubby that she feel sleepy and wanted to go to bed so hubby brought her back to hotel.

I went back to hotel ard 12.00am and both hubby and Kendra were sleep so deeply. Middle of the night, I think it's around 5.00am Kendra woke up by her own and I thought she wanted to go to toilet. But it's not, she told me she wanted to go down to the amusement park to play again........ OMG!!!!!

On the next day morning, we had our buffet breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we went back to the hotel room and having some great time chit chatting with Felix while Kendra did lots of performance for her uncle Felix. Uncle Felix did brought back some nice stuffs he bought from Japan to Kendra. We checked out at 12.00pm and brought Kendra to the amusement park again. After we took our lunch at the nearest restaurant, it's time to say goodbye to Felix as he need to rush for his flight. Overall, we all had a great time there especially Kendra.

Went for my checkup yesterday after my last checkup which was 2 weeks ago. I felt this checkup are so special to me as we did it on the last day of 2008 and it remarked the end of my 1st trimester too!!!!

baby length: 5.09cm (grow about 2.36cm in 2 weeks times)
Heartbeat: 165 beats per minutes
mommy BP: 120/70 (seem not so relevant, right...LOL)

During the whole ultrasound scanning, we (hubby, Kendra and myself) can feel how excited the little baby was when he/she meet his/her parent and sister. He/she keep on moving and kicking till my doctor told us that he/she was tooooo active. Halfway of the scanning, he/she started to suck her thumb......hahaha!!!! When daddy told Kendra about this, she was doing the "shame shame" reaction to her little sis/bro. Other than this, doctor did count the baby fingers with Kendra too!!!!

My gynae has stop to prescribe me the folic acid and prescribe me with the multi-vitamin, calcium capsules and neurogain. For my weight, it remain unchange from my last visit and my appetite was back to normal. I didn't have any special foods I would like to crave so far but I like chilling drinks a lot especially Ribena.....LOL!!!!

I was so amaze that I found lots of new development of my baby on my visit and can't wait to see him/her in another month time.

Received a parcel today and yes, it's the Christmas gift that her Ah Fu (Uncle) sent to her before he departed to Japan. I did not unwrap it until she is back from her nursery. She saw the parcel was lying on the sofa and start her questions to me..... what is this, who send to you, what is inside.... bla bla bla...... Until I can't stand her and ask her to open it herself.

From the title of this post, I think you already know that I got good news want to share with you. Yeah, today is my lucky day..... why I said so????? This is because I won 2 wahmies cloth wipes from the Christmas Give Away which was organized by Bonnie. A big thanks to this lovely and generous mommy for her effort. I admitted that luck is not always by my side for the past as I never won any prizes in my life and this is the first time I won prizes. Maybe from now on, good luck will be following me....heheheh!!!!

Second good news to share with you all is that my IELTS result finally arrived this afternoon. I feel so scare when I saw the Pos Express envelope was in my letter box when I got home just now. Without waiting any longer, I straight away open the envelope and check for the result...... Hooray, my nightmare is over, I scored the band required and I don't need to re-take the test again. That is really a good news to me as I don't wish to have any pressure from this IELTS again. I can finally enjoy my pregnancy now!!!!!!!

Hope more good news to come...... maybe I should go and buy lottery now, LOL!

@ 10 weeks

Went for my checkup on last Wednesday and this was the progress of my little one inside me.

Length: 2.73cm
Heartbeat: 176 beats per minute

Head, hands and foot were seen through the ultrasound scan. For myself, I only gain 0.5kg from my last visit which was 2 weeks ago. I'm so surprise about the gain as I thought I will gain at least 2 to 3 kg because I ate a lots during this 2 weeks time.

Kendra was so excited when she saw the scan and when we got home, she keep on showing us her tummy and told us that she also got a baby inside....LOL!!! One thing I need to compliment her is that she was very behave during the scan, when the nurse try to give her a sweet and this was how she answered to the nurse....."Thank you, I don't want".....even my gynae also praise her for this as he seldom see a kids that will say NO to sweets/candies.

Looking forward to my next visit.....!!!!!

I got no idea how should I start my post...... Yeah, I'm 9 weeks preggie with my 2nd one. As most of you may knew it from the ticker I posted at my blog not long ago. So, I would like to take this opportunity to spread the good news of mine.

Everything were fine and so far I didn't came across any morning sickness and hope it will not come and visit me too!!!! My appetite is SUPER good. Before I'm preggie, I seldom took my lunch and now, I can't even skip any of my meals and the portion must be BIG enough to fulfill my hunger most of the time.

My next appointment will be on next Wednesday and I'm looking forward to this day. As I've promised Kendra to bring her along for my next visit to show her how's the baby looks. She is looking for this day to come too as the previous visit nothing much can see from the scan. Whenever I ask her whether she want a brother or sister, sure she will answered me she want a sister...... and this is what hubby and I wish to have too!

My Dad's 60th Birthday

We celebrated my dad's 60th birthday on last Saturday and this was a big day that everyone of us looking forward for so long.

At first, we thought that Felix might not be joining us as his wife was down with high fever when they were in KL. I'm so glad to know that they changed their plan to going back to Singapore and joining us for the birthday dinner instead. This was really a good news to my dad as we can feel that he was so disappointed at first when he knew that his son and grandson didn't happen to come back to celebrate his birthday with him. Felix and his family drove back to Ipoh on Friday.

The night finally came and Kendra was so excited to present her cake to her gong gong. She was so happy during the dinner and keep on "stick" to her beloved gong gong. When Felix and family arrived, all the focus were on them especially his son - Rafael. This is the first time Rafael came back to Ipoh and all our relatives never see him before.

Madagascar Fever

Yupe...... Madagascar is her 2nd favourite after Shrek. When she first saw the Madagascar II advertisement on TV, she was so excited and keep on singing "I like to move it, move it......" Until her grandpa came and ask me what she want actually.... LOL!

I got a copy of the latest catalog of Tupperware and so happy to see the Madagascar items. Without think twice, I drove to the nearest Tupperware office with Kendra to grab the items. Initially, I just want to get a set of the tumbler and the One Touch Topper set. Too bad that the One Touch Topper set is a PWP item and need to spend RM50 from this range to get it. So, I thought of going home with empty hands since I don't have the intention to get 4 tumbler just for the One Touch Topper. Kendra was so disappointed when I told her that we are going home without any purchase of the Madagascar items. She start to show her pity face and keep sitting on the floor and don't let me to bring her home. The shop owner can't stand to see her pity face and allow me to purchase the One Touche Topper set without the required purchase amount. She was happily home with her "Alex" tumbler at the end.

Other than the Tupperware items, we lso get her the toys from McDonald. So far, only collected 3 pcs and still waiting for the others to be release. And the cute hairband is from McDonald too!

We brought her to the cinema on last Sunday for the show and she was so excited. Before this, I had told her that when we go to cinema, we will have pop corn, cheezel, coke....... that's why she is so looking forward to the show. After the show when we were walking to the car park, She told her daddy :"Tomorrow we come again ar...." Hubby and I can feel how she enjoy herself for the show and promise her to get her the DVD once it's available.

She is Diapers Free

It has been a week Kendra didn't put on any diapers for the past one week. At first, I'm scare to take off her diapers at night as I haven't get any waterproof sheet to start get this big project started. But, from my observation over the past few weeks, her diapers were dry on the next day morning. Hubby insisted to take off her diapers and give it a try.

We will asked her to go to the toilet before she go to bed and when she wake up in the next day morning, we will ask her to go to the toilet again. Phew!!!! She did it without fail for the past one week and we are so proud of her.

Now, my problem is how to get rid of the left over diapers in my store room. Maybe will sell it below the market price...... wait for my post ya!!!!

Recipe: American Baked Cheesecake

Digestive Biscuit Base

Ingredients
160g Digestive biscuit (finely crushed)
80g melted butter

Method:
Mix all ingredients until well-blended. Press it onto bottom of a 20cm loose bottom pan. Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until firm.

Ingredients A
625g cream cheese
170g sugar

Ingredients B
40g plain flour

Ingredients C
4 egg yolk
2 1/2 egg white
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 lemon zest

Ingredients D
200g whipping cream

Ingredients E
1 1/2 egg white
20g sugar

Method:
1. Wrap the outside of the digestive biscuit base tin with aluminium foil
2. Cream ingredients A until light. Add in ingredients B, mix until well-blended
3. Add in ingredients C, cream until smooth and light
4. Add in ingredients D, mix until well-combined
5. Whip ingredients E until the soft peak stage, add it into the above cheese mixture and mix until well incorporated
6. Pour the cheese mixture over the prepared biscuit base
7. Bake in water bath at 160 Celsius for 75 minutes or until golden brown
8. Allow to cool, keep refrigerated overnight.

I never thought of I can baked a cheesecake before as I always thought it's very complicated to bake it and it's better to buy from the bakery shop if I'm craving on it.

After I read a post from her blog, I got the inspiration to bake my very first Cheesecake this week. Although the cake looks a bit weird but the taste was good than what I'm expected.... yummy!!!

My dad is a super fans of football and he could sleep few hours a day just for the football. On weekend, he will only stay at home and stick in front of the TV for his football matches.

Lately, hubby told me that Carlsberg have launched a web tv channel named www.partofthegame.tv. Lots of football information and video clips can be found here.

Maybe I should share this site with my dad so he will have more variety to watch his matches!!!

This Bento was not packed for Kendra but for her daddy instead. Hope he will finish it during his lunch time later. I just simply fried the rice with some hams and mixed vege and layer it with some lettuce. The coleslaw was prepared yesterday and I can't find a small cup to hold it so I just use the lettuce (again) to hold it....heheheh!! The appetizer will be the kiwi as there are still plenty in the fridge!!!! I thought of prepare a bottle of apple juice for him too but he refuse to bring it. So, this is the only food for his lunch later.....enjoy ya!!!!

Huggies Tent

Hooray!!! Finally I managed to redeem this tent for Kendra before the closing date. A big thanks to Amanda and Macy who willing to share with me their polybags so I don't need to buy another bags of diapers just for the redemption. Since Kendra only put on her diapers at night and I think my current stock are really a lots to me. Only the Mamy Poko pants, I think there are at least 10 packets in my room.

Again I'm preparing a simple and light Bento for Kendra to bring to her gong gong's house on last Saturday.It served as a snack for her after her breakfast. It took about 10 minutes for me to pack it.

Inside the box, there are 2 pineapple tart, 2 cheese crackers with almond, a chocolate almond cookies (baked by myself) and some kiwis.

Eyeglasses are expensive nowadays as one of my friend told me that she paid RM800 for her new glasses. OMG, I never paid such a huge amount for an eyeglass in my life.

After I read the article from Chicago Tribune, I found an online prescription eyeglasses store for cheaper frame and lens. From their website, I got to know that actually I can have few pairs of glasses with the amount my friend used to pay for her glasses. From rimless to plastic frame and single vision eyeglasses to complete progressive eyeglasses, you name it and they have it. Tons of frames for you to choose from with a super low price started at $8.oo. You must be wondering why they are able to sell their glasses at such low price. Zenni manufactures their own frames and sell directly to the customer. With this, no middleman and advertising fees are impose on the cost.

I need to get a backup pair of eyeglasses for myself and I think Zenni Optical is a wise choice to go for. Maybe I will get few pairs more so that I can have more stylish looks. Rudd rolls up migrant welcome mat

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has flagged a cut in immigration because of the global financial crisis, faltering economic growth and a rise in unemployment.

Mr Rudd said the current immigration rate was an increase on the previous year.

He said that increase was to meet employer demands for more skilled workers, particularly in mining and resource intensive Western Australia and Queensland.

"As with all previous governments, and mine's the same, whenever we set immigration targets we will adjust them according to the economic circumstances of the day," he told the Fairfax Radio Network in Melbourne .

The 2008-09 Migration Program is set at 190,300 places, representing a 19.8 per cent increase on the 2007-08 program. The figure includes 56,500 places for family migrants sponsored by people already in Australia and 133,500 places for those with special skills.

I think preparing Bento is the trend now and being a Kiasu mom, I have prepared my first Bento for hubby and Kendra today. I got not much Bento accesorries with me and I should thank market place owner to send my items promptly so that I can start my Bento-ing.

I can't wait till 18th October for the grand opening of the 100 yen shop in Ipoh. I hope I can find some useful bento stuffs there.

Kendra like to apologize to me lately even for some small things... "Sorry mommy, sorry mommy" always the words from her mouth. I didn't mean that I don't like her to apologize when she did a mistake, I just wish that she will know her mistake and don't repeat it again. Not by saying a word of Sorry and forget about her mistake.

Yesterday when we are about to sleep, hubby was playing with Kendra. Suddenly, she beat her daddy because daddy sleep on her pillow. Then hubby pretended crying by the hope Kendra will 'sayang' him but Kendra still don't bother him. Hubby got no way to go but saying sorry to his princess. Guess what is Kendra answer????

Kendra: Sorry no cure!!!!!!!

Hahahaha......... this is my answer to her everytime she apologized to me. Hubby and I laughed non stop after hearing her answer.
